This policy explains how Kapinote handles information on this website and in the Kapinote desktop application.
Kapinote stores meeting metadata, transcript segments, summaries, chat history, templates, and search indexes in a local database on your device. Kapinote does not operate a hosted meeting archive.
When you configure an online transcription or AI provider, the audio, transcript context, and prompts needed for that request are sent directly to that provider. Their privacy terms apply. A fully local configuration does not require sending meeting content to Kapinote or an online model provider.
We process the email address, authentication data, account preferences, support messages, and limited security logs needed to operate accounts, prevent abuse, and provide support. OAuth providers receive information according to the option you choose.
Essential cookies keep you signed in, preserve language and theme preferences, and protect account actions. Optional analytics are disabled unless configured and consented to where required.
Local meeting data remains until you delete it in the app or remove the local database. Account data, support messages, and security logs are retained only as needed to operate the service, prevent abuse, and meet legal obligations. You may request access, correction, export, or deletion by contacting us.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. For privacy questions or requests, email support@kapinote.com.
